FLOOR MEDALLIONS & ARTISTIC PARQUET

We do not use any stains to create designs. Every pattern is made up from different wood species,
carefully matched by the designer to achieve the desired effect.

Hardwood Medallions are the crème de la crème of hardwood flooring. Medallions are available in finished
designs or in a custom design of your own, e.g., a family crest or a corporation logo.

Floor medallions are executed by our master craftsmen in the wood species combination of your choice,
in standard or custom sizes and thickness varies between 8 and 22 Millimeter. Using precise CNC wood
cutting technic assures greatest accuracy.

A wide variety of wood species may be used, such as Brazilian Cherry, Birds Eye Maple, Wenge, Kulim,
Teak, Zebrawood or another wood of your choice.

Designs can be customized and our master craftsmen will complete the design to your specifications.
A computerized manufacturing process allows us to recreate the most complex ideas. Possibilities are

CAST PEWTER INLAY - a novelty on the world market

This craft (also known as ‘core inlays') originated in the Orient but blossomed in Italy from where it
spread throughout Europe after the 13th century.

Inlaying is an insertion technique into wood using different coloured materials (e.g. ivory, tortoiseshell,
mother of pearl, metal). A pattern is engraved into the wood using special tools and filled in with the
chosen material. The work that goes into producing these labour-intensive pieces and the beauty of
the wood we use, make our objects into distinctive and individual artefacts.

The unprocessed wood makes pewter cast inlays immensely durable – they can survive centuries.
Once the pattern has been worked into the wood, the pewter is melted and poured into the engraving.
Pewter cast inlaying is a very special technique, so we use only the finest woods (e.g. ebony and East
Indian palisander).
